GRANDSTANDS
SOLVERDE GRANDSTAND
Located at the penultimate corner of the circuit, the Solverde Grandstand offers an exhilarating view of the riders as they exit Turn 14, the final technical left-hander before launching into Turn 15, the long, sweeping right that leads onto the start/finish straight. This is where throttle control and acceleration are crucial — and where you’ll hear the full roar of the MotoGP machines as they unleash maximum power. It’s a great spot for fans who enjoy watching the transition from technical precision to outright speed. Expect dramatic moments as riders set up their final overtaking opportunities before the lap ends, often pushing the limits of traction.
PORTIMÃO 2 GRANDSTAND
Positioned near Turn 8, this grandstand is all about heavy braking and late overtakes. Riders arrive here at high speed after sweeping through the rapid right-hand Turn 7, one of the fastest parts of the track, before slamming on the brakes into the tight hairpin at Turn 8. The contrast between speed and control makes this one of the most dynamic viewing areas. From here, you can truly appreciate the physicality of MotoGP, as riders wrestle their bikes under braking, shift body weight aggressively, and fight for inside lines. It’s a prime location for capturing on-track battles and late-braking heroics.
NORTH / MEO GRANDSTAND
Strategically placed at Turn 1, this is arguably the most action-packed section of the entire circuit. Located at the end of the start/finish straight, Turn 1 is the scene of many bold overtaking maneuvers — especially at the start of the race, when the entire field barrels down into the corner almost simultaneously. This grandstand offers a head-on view of the braking zone, where riders dive inside rivals and jostle for position. Whether it’s watching the drama of the race start or seeing last-lap lunges for position, the North/MEO Grandstand offers constant adrenaline and is a fan-favorite for a reason.
PORTIMÃO MIGUEL OLIVEIRA GRANDSTAND
Named after Portugal’s own MotoGP hero Miguel Oliveira, this stand is situated near one of the most visually striking and technical sections of the track. You’ll see riders descend into Turn 9, a fast and flowing right-hander, before immediately transitioning into the high-speed Turns 10 and 11, where precision and balance are critical. This area is renowned for the dramatic elevation changes that make Portimão so distinctive — bikes dip, rise, and twist through corners in rapid succession. It’s a great place to truly witness the rollercoaster nature of the circuit and feel a national connection to the Portuguese star.
MAIN GRANDSTAND – UPPER TIER
If you’re looking for an all-encompassing MotoGP experience, the Main Grandstand Upper Tier is the place to be. Overlooking the start/finish straight and directly facing the pit lane, this grandstand gives you a front-row seat to the race start, grid preparations, and pit lane action. You’ll witness the intense acceleration off the line and the high-speed slipstream battles into Turn 1. It’s also the best place to watch the post-race podium celebrations, team reactions, and media activity. Elevated for a broader view, this stand allows you to take in a large portion of the circuit layout, making it ideal for fans who want both a panoramic perspective and a pulse on race strategy.
